how come in religion, women are the easiest to get to obey the rules of said religion?
Like Mormons, original Mormonism I should say. Because the Mormon men had many wives, and the women agreed to it because Joesph Smith said that God said it was ok. Also in some sects of Christianity, cause Paul does say that women should dress a certain way, and they should be quiet in the Church, and women believe it.
So why are women the easiest to get to believe religion?
I don’t know if that’s true. However, if it is, it may be because for most of human history women were dependent on men. It’s hard to take care of infants while you’re hunting. It’s also hard to take care of anything if a man, who’s much stronger physically, beats you half to death.
Most gods and religions were created by men, to benefit men. The men made the rules, and enforced them with brutality. Fortunately, women can now support themselves and their children, and there are laws against husbands beating their wives (in civilized societies, anyway).
I’m female, and atheist, and have known many other female atheists. The women I’ve known who were theists were older, stay at home mothers, who had no life outside their families. For them, church was a way to get out of the house without being questioned by their husbands.
