Van Cleef Perfume
Does perfume expire?????
I own a perfume bottle from Van Cleef and Arpels. It was very expensive. It was bought nearly 15 years ago. NEVER BEEN OPENED. The color hasnt changed. Can I still use it, will it smell good, will it give me a rash? I heard that you can keep Guerlain bottle for years and they get better with age (like good wine) Is that the case with all expensive perfumes? What is your experience??
It doesn’t expire.If it’s never been opened, it should be pretty much like new. However, perfumes and colognes have a little alchohol in them and that can evaporate (especially if the bottle was aleady opened) which is why some people say it gets better with age. If the alcohol expires, it gets stronger (not necessarily better).
Cheap perfumes sometimes change a little (not always for the better) but a good quality perfume like you have should be just fine.
